Join our small, dynamic team with opportunities for growth and long-term success.

Performance Objectives:

  • Independently manage communications with employees and customers while using NetSuite, Tesorio, and ADP to address inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the accounting, sales, and CSM teams to collect payments from customers and begin supporting AR collections efforts.
  • Prepare and reconcile semi-monthly payroll, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Begin maintaining accurate records for employee compensation, deductions, benefits, and garnishments.
  • Familiarize yourself with preparing, filing, and reconciling sales tax reports using Avalara.

60 Days:

  • Independently complete monthly close tasks within five business days.
  • Process expense reports within three days and ensure payroll is accurately processed semi-monthly, 72 hours prior to payday.
  • Filed and reconciled sales tax filings, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, providing professional and prompt responses to employee concerns.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to address and resolve employee questions regarding paychecks, deductions, benefits, and expense reimbursements.

90 Days:

  • Fully own and independently file and reconcile all sales tax returns and demonstrate mastery of the AR collections process.
  • Conduct audits to verify the accuracy of payroll and sales tax data, resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting required reports, including year-end statements such as W-2s and 1099s.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, streamlining efficiency and accuracy through automation and software optimization.
  • Build on process improvements and maintain compliance with company policies and legal requirements, ensuring confidentiality and security of employee information.

At OpenSesame, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to employees upon hire, including professional development, ISOs, health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off. We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, relying on market data to determine compensation and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience.
