The Accounting Specialist role at BTI360 offers a prime opportunity to join our Finance team and support the daily accounting operations vital to our business. This position entails managing payroll processing and AP processing, as well as supporting month-end closing procedures. As a key member of our team, this role ensures the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting processes, playing a pivotal role in maintaining our financial health and supporting strategic decision-making. Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with the Controller to establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures to support government contracts. 
• Support the month-end close process in teamwork with the Controller to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. 
• Ensure that Payroll is processed accurately and timely for Controller review. 
• Manage teammate benefit accruals and allowances. 
• Manage accounts payable function, including invoice processing, payment approvals, subcontractor and vendor communication. 
• Support tax compliance efforts: working closely with the Controller, prepare and organize necessary documentation for tax filings. 
• Assist in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required to support the finance team. 

Qualifications 

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience. 
• Experience performing in an accounting role for a government contractor is strongly preferred.  
• Strong and demonstrated experience with Unanet (Project Portfolio Plus) for executing payroll processing and accounts payable processing. 
• Demonstrated experience with UKG Ready is preferred, but not required. 
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace 
• Excellent written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills 
• Excellent critical thinking, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills 
• The ideal candidate will possess a friendly demeanor, be able to take initiative and have a desire to assist our team. 
• Willingness to be cross trained in other areas in support of the Finance team. 
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or other related fields of study 
• US citizenship
