ROLE OVERVIEW: 

We are looking for a highly skilled Accounting Migration Schematics Specialist to join our finance team. This role is crucial for the successful migration of accounting processes, with a strong emphasis on ledger design and financial reporting accuracy. The ideal candidate will have robust experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and ledger design, with knowledge of IFRS9. Professional certifications such as CIMA or ACCA are highly desirable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ledger Design and Migration: Lead and manage the design and migration of ledger systems, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with existing accounting frameworks.
  • General Ledger Accounting: Execute general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries, month-end and year-end close processes, annual report preparation, and GL account reconciliations.
  • Variance Analysis: Conduct variance to budget analyses for income statement accounts and perform month-over-month variance analysis for balance sheet accounts, especially for international entities.
  • GAAP Accounting Compliance: Work closely with Financial Accounting management to analyze, document, and implement proper GAAP accounting interpretations, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Process Documentation: Maintain and update comprehensive internal process documentation for accounting procedures and policies, detailing task execution and business rationale.
  • Automation and Innovation: Identify opportunities for process automation, leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
  • Financial Reporting and Audit Support: Prepare schedules and supporting data for annual financial statements, tax filings, and audit requests during interim and year-end cycles.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Engage in special projects, conducting analysis and preparing ad hoc reports as needed to support the broader finance team.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide excellent customer service and clear communication to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all queries and concerns are addressed promptly.


KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4+ years in general ledger accounting, with substantial experience in ledger design and financial reporting.
  • Proven experience in leading complex accounting migrations and process enhancements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale ledger design projects, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
  • In-depth understanding of IFRS9 and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Nice to have: CIMA or ACCA certification
