Job Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Lead/Supervisor to oversee finance operations in India, specifically focusing on expense reporting, General Ledger (GL) accounting, and Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR) processes. This role will require coordination with our US operations to ensure seamless financial management across different time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Expense Reporting:
  • Oversee the entire expense reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate submission, review, and approval of expense reports.
  • Implement processes and procedures to optimize the expense management system, reducing errors and fraud.
• General Ledger (GL) Accounting:
  • Supervise GL accountants to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in the ledger.
  • Review and approve journal entries, financial statements, and reconciliations performed by the team.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR):
  • Lead the AP/AR teams, ensuring payments are processed accurately and on time, and receivables are collected efficiently.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of AP/AR sub-ledgers with the general ledger.
• Operational Leadership:
  • Coordinate with US counterparts to align processes and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
  • Mentor, train, and develop the finance team in India, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all operations meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Process Improvement:
  • Drive initiatives to streamline operations, enhance accuracy, and improve turnaround times in all finance functions.
  • Implement technological solutions or process changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Compliance and Control:
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Reporting:
  • Prepare and present management reports on financial performance, operational efficiency, and team productivity.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis to senior management.

Responsible for ensuring safety of self and others at site. Prevent damage of equipment and assets Responsible for following all safety signs/procedures/ safe working practices Responsible for using appropriate PPE’s Responsible for participating in mock drills. Entitled to refuse any to undertake any activity considered unsafe. Responsible for filling up of hazard observation card, wherever hazard has been noticed at site. Responsible for safe housekeeping of his work place. To stop any operation that is deemed unsafe To be able to operate fire extinguisher in case of fire To report an incident as soon as possible to immediate supervisor and HSE manager To complete HSE trainings as instructed to do so.
