Job Description

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the general ledger, coordinating with a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partner, supporting tax and accounting audits, with support to local and international teams to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting. Core responsibilities include: 

  • Oversee the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with company policies and procedures 
  • Coordinates with the BPO partner to ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial transactions 
  • Support tax and accounting audits by providing necessary documentation, reconciliations, and explanations of financial data 
  • Coordinate with local and international teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting across different regions 
  • Review and analyze financial statements and reports to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement 
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance 
  • Collaborate closely with the Treasury department to manage cash flow, liquidity, and financial risk management 
  • Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support as needed 
  • Support internal controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with regulatory requirements 
  • Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities 
  • Stay current with accounting standards and regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field 
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred 
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role 
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements 
  • Experience working with BPO partners and managing outsourcing relationships 
  • Previous experience collaborating with the Treasury department 
  • Basic understanding of tax matters, ie state sales tax, etc 
  • Experience coordinating with international teams 
  • Proficiency in accounting software (SAP highly preferred) and Microsoft Excel 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
