What you will contribute:
- Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring the inclusion of proper documentation
- Perform account reconciliations, investigating transactions when needed
- Collect and analyze data and other information accurately and effectively
- Assist in producing and distributing of financial memos, documenting key considerations and conclusions based on relevant accounting standards
- Provide assistance in financial statement review
- Assist in tying out SEC Form 10-Q financial records for various periods
- Perform additional duties and provide additional support as directed by manager
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a rising junior/senior enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program OR a student enrolled in a masters degree program in accounting or related discipline
- Have a 3.0+ GPA (preferred)
- Have an interest in accounting, strong organizational skills, and will be detail oriented
- Be a fast learner and are interested in learning how to maintain documentation and perform a variety of financial recording processes
- Possess the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with various details and competing deadlines
- Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Be proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
This is a hybrid internship based in the Raleigh, NC office.
