How you’ll make an impact:
- Prepare and process month-end journal entries; prepare balance sheet account reconciliations; calculate, update, and maintenance.
- Prepare, file, and process monthly tax declarations (e.g. VAT) and Intrastat reporting and responding to any questions on these tasks.
- Prepare timely month end closing including participation in preparing statutory annual reports.
- To process all 4 Salary bookkeeping journal entries in JDE and control accuracy of them.
- Prepare and process I/C rebilling invoices to and from our entities.
- Provide complex accounting support including data analysis, processing invoices, escalate non-routine/HCP non-compliance as well as manage the follow-up, from suppliers and vendors and reconciling balance sheet accounts, as well as resolve complex issues to bring invoices to closure by collaborating with other departments and other tasks under limited supervision.
- Ensure Edwards compliance by applying knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g., Sunshine Act, SOX, GAAP financials, SEC, IRS) to develop explanations for internal and external auditors.
- Support and participate in any local or central project that this role is assigned to.
- To support and educate other users with PO (Coupa) and T&E (Concur) work. Also be part of the creation of yearly PO and analyze the outcome of them.
- Other incidental duties: Assess basic system capabilities and process efficiencies and make recommendations for improvements. Will be back-up to other team members work tasks.
What you'll need (Required):
- University degree & 3+ years of work experience in accounting is a must
- Fluency in English, any Scandinavian language is a plus
What else we look for (Preferred):
- Knowledge of MS Office, accounting/ERP systems (e.g. JD Edwards, SAP etc.)
- Knowledge of IFRS/ US GAAP, SOX compliance
- Experience with accounting in the Nordic region
- Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and results-driven
- Proactive approach in daily tasks and effective communication across regions
- Experience in finance/accounting in a fast-paced, multinational environment
