Accountant – ERP Implementation & Financial Operations
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support our Accounting Team during a phased IFS ERP system implementation. This role will work closely with the Accounting Manager and Corporate Controller to ensure that accounting considerations are integrated across all functions during the implementation. While the initial focus will be on IFS ERP-related responsibilities, this position will also contribute to other accounting functions as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the ERP implementation process by supporting finance-related system setup, data validation, and process improvements.
- Act as a key resource for the finance team, helping to address accounting requirements and collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop solutions.
- Develop a deep understanding of the ERP system to support financial reporting, transaction processing, and system functionality.
- Provide training and ongoing support to ERP end users, troubleshooting and resolving system-related issues.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, IT, and Engineering, to ensure system solutions align with operational needs.
- Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data transferred to the new system.
- Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to streamlining financial workflows.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
- 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience, including ERP system implementation (IFS experience required).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
- Experience with multi-currency, multi-site, and multi-entity ERP systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate and train others.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while effectively coordinating with team members.
- Experience with global companies and maquiladora operations is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
