How you’ll make an impact:
GL accounting, statutory filing, internal controls
- Support accounting activities for EEMEA legal entities (document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transaction)
- Maintain the general ledger for posting of monthly entries such as OPEX accruals, depreciation, prepaid expenses, import salaries files, etc.
- Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are prepared in an accurate manner
- Ensure inter-company accounts, balance with each other
- Support necessary internal accounting controls and procedures are in place to safeguard the assets of the company
- Monitor and assess compliance with internal controls, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and Edwards Financial Policies and Procedures for all entities and operations.
- Perform Statutory annual audit for the entities.
Accounts payable
- Submit invoices in Coupa, create receipts and purchase orders
Other incidental duties
- Support the implementation of new tools and processes
- Support the implementation of Edwards internal financial and accounting policies and procedures
- Communication with banks, customers and suppliers as well as other colleagues within Edwards
What you'll need (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree & 3+ years of work experince in the field of finance/accounting
- Proficiency in English
What else we look for (Preferred):
- Knowledge of MS Office, accounting/ERP systems (e.g. JD Edwards, SAP etc.)
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Ability to work following external and internal SOPs and standards
- Proactive approach in daily tasks and communication across region
- Effective communication skills and awareness of cultural differences
- Experience in finance/accounting in a multi-national environment
- Good analytical skills and result orientation
