Accountant - 4 month Internship/Coop (Summer 2025)

Depending on your role, you may be asked to:

• Support the team in reconciling financial data and identifying discrepancies;
• Support the team in data entry and maintenance of financial databases;
• Assist with the preparation of financial and regulatory filings;
• Investigate discrepancies in reinsurance premiums on facultative placements ;
• Communicate with external stakeholders to clarify premium-related issues and resolve inquiries;
• Help with the calculation of reinsurance premiums and reserves;
• Prepare accounting entries;
• Participate in team meetings and learn about various aspects of reinsurance finance operations;
• Participate in process improvement initiatives;
• Support senior analysts and specialists on their tasks;

These are our requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting;
• Mastery of the Microsoft Excel suite;
• Be skilled with numbers;
• Have experience in the field in accounting or finance (an asset);
• Aspire to obtain a CPA (an asset)
• You have an analytical and problem-solving mind;
• You are autonomous and you have a good sense of responsibility;
• You are known for your attention to detail.
• Be available 35 hours per week from May to August 2025.
