Job Description

The SmartConnect Account Manager provides a world-class customer service experience, developing strong relationships with assigned accounts. As the primary contact for onboarded accounts, you will develop innovative solutions and engagement strategies to increase account penetration and serve the total addressable market. This role is crucial in establishing SmartConnect as the trusted Medicare solution for our clients. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with our Account Executives to expand our business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES 
The essential duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
  • Ensure timely and successful onboarding of new clients, delivering our solutions according to their needs and objectives.
  • Provide ongoing support to clients, ensuring they receive exceptional service and are satisfied with our offerings.
  • Work closely with accounts to maximize engagement and lead generation
  • Identify opportunities to expand business within existing accounts and develop new business opportunities.
  • Update and manage internal CRM 
  • Conduct various activities for accounts such as solution walkthroughs and strategy calls
  • Perform regular data audits through account outreach, and in collaboration with SVG stakeholders
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to support and engage existing accounts.
  • Execute engagement campaigns to maintain strong client relationships and drive business growth (weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual campaigns).
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of account management activities.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and work to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of account management operations.
  • Deliver webinars, develop new product resources, and create Medicare content to educate and engage clients.
  • Working closely with Marketing, create client facing content to promote SmartConnect’s services
  • Ensure client resources and collateral are accurately functioning properly. 
  • Work closely with marketing on websites and resources 
  • Regularly evaluate account’s performance and overall strength
  • Evaluation group health benefits to determine target companies for lead generation initiatives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continually improve service delivery.
  • Work closely with Account Executives to expand our book of business and achieve sales targets.
  • Ensure year-over-year growth of lead generation from assigned accounts
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to create client-focused materials and communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to relay client feedback and ensure our products meet client needs.
  • Execute new lead-generating and engagement programs 
  • Foster a customer-centric culture within the team, promoting excellent customer service practices.
  • Develop and manage client feedback processes to gather insights and continuously improve our services.
  • Conduct regular training sessions with accounts to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest industry knowledge and SmartConnect processes.
  • Monitor and analyze account metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on client’s performance to senior management.
  • Ensure data integrity with account records through detailed tracking on SmartConnect’s CRM.
  • Plan and execute client appreciation events and activities to strengthen relationships. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Client Services Manager.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: 

  • Minimum BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in a related field 
  • Minimum 3 years sales experience, preferably with B2B sales or account management
  • Medicare knowledge including Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage plans, prescription drug plans, and ancillary products 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to work interdepartmentally 
  • Detail-oriented and process-minded 
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills 
  • Strong presentation skills
