Our Nordic Accident & Health (A&H) team serves our clients with group and individual insurance solutions within Accident, Critical Illness, Business Travel, Expatriate Insurances and more. Based at our Finnish office in the heart of Helsinki, the Account Manager focuses on nurturing and building relationships with key existing and new clients, securing adequate and tailored coverage across our product suite.
This role is ideal for the candidate with a few years of experience within sales and/or account management maybe even in the financial industry. The ideal candidate has been working within the business-to-business segment however, the most important thing is your personality. Further, we expect you to have great structure, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, as well as a clear commercial mindset.

Your impact and responsibilities
Success as an Account Manager requires a structured approach to account management, excellent communication skills and fluency in Finnish and English. Swedish is also a plus. You will collaborate with the broader Nordic team to deliver seamless customer experiences and maintain high levels of client satisfaction. Your responsibilities include:

Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, managing relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.

Take a proactive approach in identifying opportunities to grow existing relationships and develop solid growth plans.

Meet with new prospects and partners, identify their needs, and incorporate these insights into your sales pitches.

Focus on retaining clients and identifying opportunities for growth within existing accounts.

Manage renewals and contract updates, ensuring seamless delivery of services.

Take ownership of client challenges, resolving them in a timely and professional manner.

Work closely with internal teams to meet client needs and ensure smooth account operations.
What you’ll need to succeed
We believe you have some experience from the insurance industry in an externally focused and sales-oriented role. You know what good customer and client experience looks like and you take ownership in meeting client needs. If you see yourself in the following, you may be the perfect match:

Ability to recognize potential opportunities and needs in prospective partners. This includes crafting and delivering compelling sales pitches to present AIG’s products and business model.

Proven ability to maintain and grow long-term client relationships.

Regularly analyze and monitor financial performance of accounts. A strong understanding of budgets, forecasting, and profitability is essential to drive positive business outcomes.

Drive to deliver measurable success and strives for continuous improvement. Whether it’s achieving revenue targets, growth targets, client satisfaction, or renewal rates.

Strong focus on resolving client issues professionally and ensuring client satisfaction.

Ability to optimize product offerings in partner sales channels, identifying opportunities for upsell and expanding product lines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in Finnish, with Swedish as a plus, and strong English proficiency.

Highly organized, with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts.

The Nordic Accident & Health team consists of 26 professionals spread across the Nordics, focusing on Group and Individual A&H. Our product suite includes Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Cash (stand-alone or through payment/bill protection solutions), Business Travel, and Expatriate Insurances. We prioritize collaboration, strategic alignment, and shared success, and we work closely with other departments and lines of business across the company – particularly our partners in Affinity, Distribution, Underwriting Operations, and Claims.
