Long View is seeking an ambitious and results-focused Account Executive for our Toronto office who has experience selling Hybrid IT solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide Cloud and Modern Workplace solutions leveraging O365, and infrastructure including hardware and software with the relevant attached services. 

A Day in the Life:

  • Sales and Business Development:
  • Generate new leads and identify potential clients to grow the Long View business with a goal towards becoming the dominant player in this region.
  • Qualify leads, understand client needs, and tailor solutions that align with the client’s business objectives.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Conduct sales presentations and demonstrations to potential clients, showcasing the company’s services and solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to secure profitable business deals while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, tracking opportunities from initial contact to close.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute outreach campaigns targeting potential clients.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Work with clients to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services such as cloud solutions, data center services, and network optimization.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the client’s business, goals, and challenges to offer relevant solutions.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with the technical consultants and solutions architects to develop customized proposals and technical solutions based on client requirements.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication of the company’s offerings to clients, explaining complex technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Coordinate with internal resources to ensure successful project delivery, ensuring that timelines and client expectations are met.
  • Market Research and Strategy:
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and competitor activities to better position the company’s solutions in the marketplace.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential opportunities for growth.
  • Participate in industry events, webinars, and networking opportunities to increase brand awareness and expand the company’s network.
  • Contribute to various government audits and special programs that Long View participates in every year. Part of your duties will be to participate in these programs where needed as it relates to your technology area(s). 

What You Bring:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT sales, business development and account management, preferably in an IT reseller/vendor, consulting, or technology services environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, particularly in selling complex solutions or services.
  • Strong understanding of areas such as cloud services, network architecture, cybersecurity, data centers, and managed IT services.
  • Sales Skills: Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to identify client needs, build rapport, and close sales effectively.
  • Technical Acumen: A solid understanding of IT commercial ecosystem, Microsoft and Cisco technologies and the ability to communicate solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
  • Negotiation Skills: Experience in negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with clients.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects efficiently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify client challenges and provide effective solutions.

What Makes You Extra Awesome:

  • Ability to travel as needed to meet clients (Ontario and Eastern Canada).
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, MS Dynamics) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience in the IT consulting industry or a related field is highly desirable.
