THE ROLE
You have a strong background in media relations, with a proven track record of successfully managing and enhancing the public image of clients through strategic media placements. You have an excellent communication skill, media outreach expertise, and a deep understanding of the PR landscape. A can-do attitude, team player, calm and compose and can manage a demanding, chaotic client with patience.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and key media contacts.
- Pitch compelling stories, news, and features to secure media coverage across various platforms.
- Develop and write press releases, ensuring accurate and impactful messaging.
- Distribute press releases to targeted media outlets and follow up to secure coverage.
- Create engaging and newsworthy content, including press materials, articles, and op-eds.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and insights for compelling stories.
- Provide media support for events, press conferences, and product launches.
- Coordinate interviews and briefings for key spokespersons.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Proven experience in media relations, preferably within the PR industry.
- Strong relationships with media professionals and a deep understanding of various media channels.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
