Concurrent Real-Time is part of HBK’s Virtual Test Division, which provides real-time software, simulator, and hardware-in-the-loop solutions to virtually test products throughout the development cycle, helping companies accelerate innovation, reduce physical prototypes and time-to-market, and improve their competitive advantage.
Our real-time simulation and professional driving simulator solutions include static deskside solutions, through to full-scale driver-in-the-loop dynamic simulators. We deliver turnkey solutions to enable transportation industry OEMs, suppliers, research centers, motorsport teams and universities to accelerate product development. Position Overview:
The Account Engineer (Field) is responsible for the following: provide Concurrent Real Time customers and field personnel with systems level support and analysis, address technical problems involving Concurrent RT systems and their interaction with non-Concurrent hardware products, integrate non-Concurrent products into Concurrent RT systems, act as assigned engineer on issues at customer sites and as a direct report to the Manager Engineering Services.
Responsibilities:
- Installation and maintenance of Concurrent RT hardware and software products, performing periodic maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting at customer locations, primarily in the Denver area but additional travel within the United States or internationally a possibility.
- Maintain assigned customer base per contractual guidelines and provide scheduled and remedial maintenance on customer systems within individual area of responsibility as necessary.
- Define, analyze and resolve system problems onsite or remotely, distinguishing between hardware and software problems and responding to customer issues within BMS response time requirements.
- Provide support for system upgrades, product and patch installations, including the identification and resolution of common problems involving Concurrent RT and non-Concurrent RT products.
- Escalate problems through proper channels and act as single point of contact for support and development personnel in managing system and customer issues, documenting problems through resolution.
- Assist other engineers as directed and perform collateral duties as assigned.
- Submit thorough and timely reports to management as directed.
- Approximately 50% of the onsite responsibilities at customer locations.
Salary Range is $75K to $80K base plus 10% bonus
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Electronics or Electronic Technology or three years of equivalent experience and education in a IT related field working with Linux servers. Military experience and training in a related Electronics field MOS/NEC will be highly regarded.
- Three years IT Field Support/Customer Support experience on Linux servers.
- Ability to manage complex situations at assigned accounts and escalate customer problems when a business case dictates.
- Must have strong customer facing, interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of company and customer personnel.
- Flexibility with travel based on customer needs and overall company objectives.
- Proficiency in problem solving, time management and teamwork.
- Ability to work under pressure and in demanding environments.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
