We are a team. We are accountable. We partner with our clients to deliver strategic, creative we are proud of.

We learn together, we create together, we win together.

And most importantly, we have fun together.

About the role

We’re looking for an Account Director to manage various projects, spanning brand through to digital, all connecting back to solving business challenges. This role will see you get to know your clients’ business inside out and be seen as a trusted advisor, and lead operational aspects for your clients.

We are looking for someone who can partner closely with our strategic and creative leads and collaborate on how to solve briefs and business challenges. We are looking for someone ambitious to get stuck in and help us continue to unlock opportunities for growth with clients.

You will also be responsible for helping to manage and mentor other team members, lifting the team around them, supporting through workloads, representing the account back to the agency, and championing the great work that is being built.

What you'll do

  • Build an open, honest, and trusting relationship with the client, the account management team, the creative department, and all other agency partners.
  • Manage the Client’s expectations by ensuring they are always kept in the loop in terms of work in progress, recognising issues early and pre-empting them.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the organisational structure, culture, and politics of the client’s business.
  • Show ability to debate and negotiate constructively with clients to successfully advocate for the agency’s recommendations or point of view.
  • Make major strategic and creative presentations to the Client, demonstrating effective influence/persuasion skills through proven success at selling creative ideas.
  • Able to lead a mixed-discipline agency team in developing and delivering the highest standard of creative.
  • Support a wider team and champion their development, ensuring they are getting regular access, support and setting the best example.

What you'll bring

  • Be a great listener, then able to move proactively and quickly.
  • Experience leading clients, not just reacting to briefs, anticipating their needs, and finding solutions.
  • Have developed first-class creative solutions and campaigns, preferably with digital credentials.
  • Strong strategic experience, i.e., writing briefs, responding to queries, and engaging with confidence during high-level client conversations.
  • Seen as a Client’s business partner: proven track record of managing and developing client relationships at the most senior level.
  • Ability to build strong agency inter-departmental relationships.
  • Experience with some team management.
  • Sound financial management skills.
  • Demonstrate resilience, confidence, and tenacity.
  • Previous experience with an advertising/creative or integrated agency is preferred.

Why Ogilvy?

  • A hybrid working environment to make sure work is working for you.
  • A tailored personal development plan to help you identify and achieve your goals, and a dedicated manager to support your career and personal development.
  • Additional time off includes your birthday, summer Fridays, and loyalty leave.
  • We offer discounted rates with health insurance and fitness providers so that you can feel your best.
  • Yoga, meditation, and well-being programs will also help keep your mind in shape.
  • Confidential counselling support if your personal or professional life throws you a curveball.
  • There are reward programs to acknowledge achievement and loyalty.
  • We’ll give you a bonus for bringing other talented people into the business.
  • Access to discounts and vouchers for big household name brands via our benefits platform, perkSPACE.
