Barrel is currently looking for an Account Coordinator to join our team. As a remote-first company, you may work from anywhere in the US.


At Barrel, the Account Coordinator (AC) plays a crucial role in supporting the Client Services team, ensuring smooth communication and coordination between the clients and internal teams. This position requires a blend of organizational, interpersonal and marketing skills to assist in the successful execution and delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of assigned client account(s), handling project coordination, communication and execution
  • Provide support to Senior Account Managers and Account Managers on larger accounts, under their supervision
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, responding to inquiries, gathering information and providing updates as needed
  • Schedule internal and client-facing meetings, taking into account availability of all participants and capturing detailed notes
  • Assist in the process for client onboarding, helping to familiarize clients with our process, tools and team
  • Conduct research and gather data to support Client Services team in developing strategies and recommendations for clients
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and timely delivery
  • Monitor project progress and deadlines, flagging potential issues to Account Managers or Director
  • Assist in preparing project briefs, gathering client feedback, and ensuring that all relevant information is accurately documented and communicated to the appropriate teams
  • Assist in monitoring project finances and tracking billable hours, contributing to profitability analysis
  • Maintain organized records of client communication, project details, and account history

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities and succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding in order to carry out detailed instructions
  • Level-headed and positive under pressure
  • Naturally curious and highly proactive, with a passion for learning new skills
  • Strong web and Mac desktop skills – we use the Shopify ecosystem, Google, Slack, Basecamp, JIRA, Harvest and Forecast

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of account or project management experience in the advertising/marketing industry
  • Agency experience required; digital experience strongly preferred
  • Client experience within the eCommerce space is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing or similar field
