About the Role:
This position involves integrating, automating, and testing our proprietary HIL/SIL/MIL environment to test the vehicle controls for body, chassis, and powertrain subsystems with the goal of improving the DV efficiency and reducing the testing time on prototype vehicles. Additionally, the SIL/HIL integration engineer will also identify and resolve interface issues between software, calibration and models assisting several internal customers from different organizations within the company. This work will require development of specific test descriptions, applications commissioning, user support/training, testing automation, and scripting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead integration and testing of our proprietary HIL/SIL/MIL applications for all applicable powertrain variants.
- Develop tools and scripts to expedite the applications integration delivery and improve simulation quality.
- Provide support to end users with issues resolution.
- Collaborate with the HIL/SIL Modeling team to enhance the correlation between HIL/SIL data and vehicle data.
- Develop and maintain documentation for tools, testing methods and processes.
- Development of Continuous Integration framework.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree.
- Programming proficiency with some of the following Matlab/Simulink/C code.
- Working experience with debugging/troubleshooting embedded systems.
- Working experience with software versioning tools (Git/GitHub).
- 4+ years of software integration experience.
- 2+ years of experience in ECU-TEST and Test Guide
- Working knowledge configuring environment and pipelines using yaml, and json
- Working knowledge of Linux
- Working knowledge of Python, Groovy, or PowerShell
- Working knowledge with CAN/LIN/Ethernet networks
- Familiarity with gasoline and electrified powertrains
- Familiarity with software planning and software delivery management experience (i.e., Jira, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.)
