BAIN CAPITAL NORTH AMERICA PRIVATE EQUITY

The Path into Private Equity (PiPE) program is a 10-week, Boston-based Summer Analyst internship within our North America Private Equity (NAPE) fund. As a Summer Analyst, you will get exposure to a breadth of industries, multiple types of investments, and significant deal experience in a short period of time.

Have a voice from the outset

You will learn how to become a value-added investor by strategically assessing and evaluating a wide range of investment opportunities with a principal mindset. Our teams work collaboratively; every member of the team owns a critical piece of the diligence, and we encourage every member of the team to voice their point of view on complex business decisions. You will also gain operating experience through exposure to a variety of portfolio company issues, from potential add-on investments to liquidity options to improving core operations.

Accelerate your professional growth

You will benefit from a comprehensive, week-long training program that is designed to introduce Bain Capital's value-added investment approach. Our small class size and inclusive team will provide you with individualized guidance and mentorship throughout the 10-week program.

Apply now for our 2026 PiPE program

The PiPE Summer Analyst program is available to students who are currently in their sophomore year of an undergraduate program. Candidates should have an excellent academic track record and strong quantitative, leadership and communication skills. This Boston-based program commences in June 2026 with the potential for a full-time offer of employment in July 2027. Please note applicants must be authorized to work in the US.

In addition to completing this Workday application, we also ask that you complete a brief online assessment with our partners at Predictive Index (~20 minutes to complete), so that we can learn a bit more about your workplace behavior and your ability to process complex information. The assessment is broken-up into two sections – an untimed Behavioral Assessment, which measures work and communication needs, and a timed 12-minute Cognitive Assessment measuring a person’s capacity to learn, adapt and grasp new concepts. Please set aside a total of 15-20 undisturbed minutes. Once you complete the Behavioral Assessment (linked above), Predictive Index will email you a separate link to complete the timed Cognitive Assessment. Please check your spam folder if you do not immediately receive the second link or reach out to Sam Parlato ([email protected]) with any questions. Feel free to check out this practice test. Your answers to these sample questions do not affect your official PI Cognitive Assessment results.

**If you have already completed the Predictive Index Assessments through our Investors of Tomorrow program, no further action is required**

Founded in 1984, Bain Capital has advanced a consulting-based approach to investment. We develop close partnerships with management teams around the world, uncovering valuable insights that drive long-term value to businesses and markets. We have expanded this approach beyond private equity to several asset classes, including credit, fixed income, public equity, venture capital, and real estate. We’re dedicated to responsible business practices, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards are critical considerations in our investment approach.

We strive to create lasting impact for all stakeholders: our investors, our teams, our businesses, and the communities we’re a part of. We believe our shared values form the core of our competitive advantage:

- We develop exceptional partnerships. We know great outcomes come from great teams.

- We challenge conventional thinking. We think differently. We nurture a culture of deep objective inquiry and seek the full potential in every opportunity.

- We work with tenacity. We roll up our sleeves, dig in, and come to work every day searching for better outcomes.

- We believe character matters. We prize personal integrity and humility.
Our team also supports a variety of charitable and nonprofit organizations by donating time, expertise and resources through the Bain Capital Community Partnership. Bain Capital Children's Charity, founded in 1996, has proven this by providing more than $55 million to 350 youth-related causes thanks to contributions from the firm’s employees and partners.
