Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer for John Deere in Moline, IL, you will:
- Develop business-critical applications leading teams to implement DevOps practices via automation of software engineering tasks to deliver business value and faster time-to-market;
- Provide Technical Leadership using DevSecOps principles to a group of Software Engineers, Analysts, Solution Architects, Product Managers and Engineering Managers to improve solutions quality, security, and reliability;
- Design and recommend lean technologies in an agile environment to foster collaboration with Engineering Managers, stakeholders and extended product teams for better customer satisfaction;
- Proactively monitor the mission-critical applications through observability and telemetry providing insights to action. Lead Minimum Continuous Delivery initiative through Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, and Zero Touch/Automated Deployment of Software modules and functionalities;
- Provide tools and training to Product/Engineering teams to upskill others to deliver cutting-edge technology. Create test frameworks, sanity, and regression test suites. Perform automation, application programming interface, and performance testing for scalable Enterprise Solutions and Cloud-native applications.
- Up to 5% remote work permitted. Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite.
What Skills You Need
- 1 year of experience in implement DevSecOps solution for improving software deployment efficiency and better customer-satisfaction using DevOps and automation tools
- 1 year of experience in strategies and architectural knowledge to install, sustain and monitor software systems in Cloud
- 1 year of experience in create, maintain and sustain an ecosystem of automated build and release pipelines for cleaner codebase management
- 3 years of experience in product design, test and analysis of software systems and modules by performing in an Agile developmental environment
- 2 years of experience in create test bed and end-to-end automation suite for testing of web applications and perform test planning, test-case development, environment setup and test execution in Scrum-based Agile Project
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus 5 years related experience.
