Your Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer for John Deere in East Moline, IL, you will:

  • Work on an agile team and develop applications for John Deere, support cloud environments and promote security by design principles
  • Design, develop, and implement enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, Node.js, JavaScript, React
  • Enable continuous integration and delivery for software products
  • Migrate and modernize on-premise workloads to cloud environment (AWS)
  • Implement test automation, configure database environments such as SQL
  • Evaluate and implement enhancement design solutions to improve cost, quality and performance of software applications
  • Analyze assignments and determine software specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives; execute necessary documentation, as directed, or needed
  • Collaborate with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs
  • and follow industry-standard agile software design methodology of development and documentation.
  • Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. Up to 20% remote work allowed.


What Skills You Need

  • 4 years of experience in design and develop highly interactive web applications utilizing JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, JSON, ReactJs, Redux and integrating Restful APIs, external web services ensuring high Mobile and Desktop performance, and providing SEO solutions for single page apps
  • 3 years of experience in resolve existing front end, Veracode, Checkmarx, and Mend issues owning assignments and see-through completion and execution
  • 3 years of experience in build Micro frontend web Components for state management, two-way data binding, HTTP Requests, and communication between web components
  • 2 years of experience in develop REST APIs that leverage IBM Security Identity Manager (ISIM) and LDAP to manage user access
  • 3 years of experience in design and Implement user authentication using Okta as the identity provider, JWT for secure token handling, and OAuth2 for authorization
  • 4 years of experience in implement CI/CD pipelines for software products utilizing Docker, Drone, and Azure DevOps, ensuring seamless integration and delivery processes
  • 4 years of experience in design, create, and optimize database using tools such as DB2, PostgreSQL MongoDB, and DynamoDB
  • 2 years of experience in manage data using Enterprise Data Lake solutions
  • 3 years of experience in work in Agile development processes and writing Unit Tests (TDD) using enzyme jest libraries for building bug-free software
  • 3 years of experience in work with Cypress and Puppeteer automation framework for testing JavaScript web apps to perform integration and end-to-end tests
  • 3 years of experience in design, build, and deploy multi-layered application infrastructure involving on-premises and AWS Cloud platforms using EC2, ECS, S3, and ECS Fargate services. Manage credentials in secret manager


Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or related field plus 4 years related experience.
