Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer for John Deere in Moline, IL, you will:

• Lead technical analysis, design, and development effort to modernize legacy SAP ABAP application and build modern application to satisfy business needs using SAP ERP Modules such as Material Management, Sales & Distribution, Production Planning among several others;
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of production issues;
• Coach junior developers and perform code pairing with other members of the team, promote software engineering best practices within the team;
• Engage with the business partners to gather requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
• Up to 10% international and domestic travel required.

What Skills You Need

• 5 years of experience in use SAP HANA Integration development methodologies, SAP PI, SAP Cloud Integration, Data services, NetWeaver Gateway capabilities, Proxies, ABAP on HANA, OData Services, and Gateway Projects, REST APIs to create and maintain applications in SAP modules including Material Management, Finance & Controlling, Sales & Distribution, Production Planning to integrate SAP with other applications including Ariba, GST, EBOM, CN, ECMS, MES
• 5 years of experience in use SAP ABAP Development, Design, testing, and Integration of high complex software solutions using BAPI(s) and RFCs, Function Modules, leveraging change management process to build and integrate the SAP ERP application to secure procurement of materials within organization before creation of external requisition & create Goods Receipt based on advance shipping notice and perform data migration from legacy systems to SAP system
• 5 years of experience in use SAP interfacing methodologies including ALE, EDI, IDOC, Proxies, BAPI, SAP PI, Web services/proxies and RFC to design and build Integration and Interfaces of ECC systems to create Sales Orders automatically to support raw material subcontracting and upload bill of materials (BOM) information into SAP from legacy systems
• 5 years of experience in use Agile Methodology, ServiceNow, Solution Manager, Source Code Inspector, DevOps practices using Jenkins to plan, build, review and deploy changes related to continuous improvements Configuration and software development requirements related to MM, FI-CO, SD, PP modules

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus 5 years related experience.
