Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer for John Deere in Moline, IL, you will lead/assist with the translation of business requirements into detailed user stories for procurement processes utilizing SAP and other technical platforms. In addition, you will:
- Develop, configure, and support other SAP modules including Financial Accounting, Logistics Execution, Quality Management, and other;
- Mentor more junior engineers on the team in specific software packages such as SAP, PTC;
- Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
- 5% international and domestic travel required.
What Skills You Need
- 5 years of experience in understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints pertaining to SAP
- 4 years of experience in understanding of full-stack design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures
- 5 years of experience in SAP Modules including Materials Management, Sales and Distribution, Logistics Execution
- 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP & OData Services are required for coding in SAP and building APIs
- 3 years of experience in SAP ALE/IDoc, SAP PI/PO & SAP-BODS are required for integrating SAP with other SAP and non-SAP Systems
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field plus 5 years related experience.
