Department Summary
The Oceanside MSAT Department utilizes technical expertise in automation, science, engineering, validation and process knowledge to support the production of licensed therapies and pipeline products as well as enable new technologies at the site and across the network.
This internship position is located in Oceanside, Ca on-site.
The Opportunity
This position will focus on two primary activities:

Robotics: Assist site lead robotics engineer on the design, testing and deployment of various robotic solutions at the site. This will include both the mechanical aspects of robots as well as the software used to control them or have them interact with other systems.

Process Data Management: Assist in the development and configuration of a recently deployed software tool that manages process parameters, critical quality attributes and bills of material. The purpose of this development is to expand the value of the tool, for example capturing equipment critical ranges in addition to process critical ranges.
As an intern, you will perform various tasks under the guidance and mentorship of your manager. You will be expected to attend meetings, read independently on relevant topics, follow a training schedule set by your supervisor, and perform tasks independently as appropriate. You will also be expected to summarize the purpose of your work and any findings, and you will present future recommendations in the form of an oral and poster presentation.

Who You Are (Required)
Required Education. You meet one of the following criteria:

Must be pursuing or have attained an Associate's Degree.

Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

Basic Robotics Knowledge: Familiarity with robotic systems, including mechanical and electrical components.

Programming Skills: Experience with programming languages commonly used in robotics, such as Python, C++, or ROS (Robot Operating System).

Software Development: Basic understanding of software development principles, including version control (e.g., Git) and debugging.

Data Management: Familiarity with spreadsheets, databases, or other tools for managing data (e.g., Excel, SQL).

The expected hourly rate range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Oceanside is $40- $50. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
