2025 Summer Intern - Analytical Science Microbiology
Department Summary:
As Pharma Technical Quality (PTQ) Analytical Science (AS) we design and drive successful delivery of compliant control strategies throughout the product life cycle for the global internal and external network within a complex, regulated environment. We scout and deploy new technologies and standards to create more efficient and sustainable delivery of products.
As the PTQ AS Microbiology group, we provide compliant, sustainable, innovative microbial control strategies & solutions from the preclinical phase to product commercialization.
This internship position is located in South San Francisco CA - On Site
The Opportunity:

Design a knowledge management and data analysis solution for microbial control documents/data from previously manufactured campaigns

Assist in the generation of a single source of truth knowledge management repository

Identify and define a dashboard to the main data repository for easy information sharing, including maintenance, with stakeholders

Collect and define all the historical documents to newly defined data template

Assist in the generation of a Microbial contamination control strategy report based on data collected
Program Highlights

Intensive 12-weeks full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

Program start date is May/June (Summer)

A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.

Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

Who You Are (Required)
You meet one of the following criteria:
- Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree (not currently enrolled in a graduate program).
- Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student).
Required Majors:
- Data science, Information and Knowledge Management, Biochemical, Biomedical, Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, Business, Operations or related disciplines
Required Skills:
- You have operations related internships or work experience and excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
- You have experience in large data compilation, analysis, simplification and dashboard generation
- You have experience in Scientific report writing
- Proficient with excel and complex data compilation
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

Proficiency in Tableau for data visualization and analysis, including experience in creating dashboards, reports, and visual insights to support business decisions.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others in a proactive, positive and constructive manner.

Proven critical thinking and creativity skills; solve problems by applying technical and functional experiences.

Comfortable navigating multiple systems, platforms, and tools, with the ability to understand sophisticated interdependencies, work autonomously, and manage multiple requests and priorities.
Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $45-$50 hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
