PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $18 - $25/Hr hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage.  Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance.  We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees.  Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan.  Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, AZ, or TX. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & WednesdaysFor those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.

As a Mobile App Systems Analyst Intern at BECU, you’ll be a key contributor in transforming business needs into real-world solutions. Your analytical mindset and technical skills will help refine requirements, optimize workflows, and implement innovative technology that drives efficiency. Through hands-on collaboration with business leaders and engineering teams, you’ll play a critical role in enhancing BECU’s digital landscape. WHAT YOU'LL DO 

 

  • Define Business Value: Assist in identifying business outcomes, evaluating technology solutions, and supporting the creation of business cases to ensure impactful and strategic implementations. 

  • Collaborate & Gather Insights: Work with peers and end users to define, document, and refine requirements, user stories, and outcomes. Lead workshops, create use cases, and map processes to ensure alignment with business needs. 

  • Refine & Translate Requirements: Analyze and refine requirements, establish acceptance criteria, and coordinate with software vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of solutions. 

  • Facilitate Testing & Quality Assurance: Support test planning, troubleshoot issues, and assist in refining technical solutions to ensure smooth deployment and functionality. 

  • Optimize & Maintain Systems: Assist with the installation of application patches, system configurations, and upgrades across development, testing, and production environments while following IT Change Control guidelines. 

  • Support Roadmap Development: Work with business units to document objectives and align roadmaps with organizational goals, ensuring consistency and clarity across initiatives. 

  • Enable Operational Success: Provide application administration support, system configurations, troubleshooting, and process documentation to maintain smooth system operations. 

  • Enhance Communication & Collaboration: Act as a liaison between end users, vendors, and IT teams to resolve technical and operational challenges, ensuring seamless system performance. 

  • Ensure Compliance & Security: Assist in designing solutions that align with data privacy, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards to safeguard BECU’s digital infrastructure. 

  • Create & Maintain Documentation: Prepare system requirements, user stories, business requirement documentation, technical manuals, and process diagrams to support ongoing system enhancements and knowledge sharing.

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

 

  • Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent degree program.
