The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated graduate student to join our Infectious Disease Epidemiology team as a Summer 2025 Intern. This 11-week internship starting on 02 June 2025 will primarily support the Cytomegalovirus (CMV) vaccine development program, providing a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in real-world epidemiologic research, vaccine development, and decision-making processes.

Here’s What You’ll Do: 

• Gain exposure to the role of Epidemiology in vaccine development, supporting clinical trial phases and post-market research.

• Lead and execute epidemiologic analyses on CMV and related health outcomes, including study design, data analysis, and interpretation of results

• Communicate findings effectively through data visualization, reports, and presentations to cross-functional teams and leadership

• Engage with cross-functional teams, including Real-World Evidence Analytics, Medical Affairs, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), and Clinical Development.

• Participate in biweekly discussions on evidence generation strategy and the value proposition of CMV vaccine.

Here’s What You’ll Need: 

• Currently enrolled in a PhD, MPH, or MS program in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, Global Health, or a pharmaceutical-related field (exceptional BA/BS students may be considered).

• Strong background or interest in epidemiology and biostatistics.

• Minimum GPA of 3.4.

• Interest in vaccine development, pharmacoepidemiologic methods, and data-driven decision-making.

• Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a collaborative yet independent work ethic.

• Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with SAS or R is a plus but not required.

• Personal attributes: Strong communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, team-oriented mindset, adaptability under pressure, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
