Deere & Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Johnston, IA with the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in IT Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field plus 5 years related experience. Required skills: Maintain Infrastructure as a Code using Terraform or CloudFormation for provisioning and managing the AWS services, experience in tools like Sumologic, AppDynamics for monitoring cloud applications and services, build tools including Jenkins, Docker for build/deployment automation, version control tools like Git, Git-flow, Gitlab and Bitbucket (4 yrs); Design, deploy, and operate highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems using Amazon Web Services (AWS), using services including EC2, ECS, ECR, EMR, VPC, S3, IAM, SQS, SNS, RDS, Secret Management, KMS, Certificate Manager, Systems Manager, Step Functions, EventBridge, and Serverless Architecture (AWS Lambda and Amazon API Gateway) (4 yrs); Experience in working with both relational databases (PostgreSQL and DB2) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, graphQL, and OpenSearch), and Cache Management including ElastiCache (5 yrs); Design, develop and support full-stack applications, emphasizing skills in both back-end (PostgresSQL, Spark, and DynamoDB) and front-end (TypeScript, Angular, React, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and Material) (5 yrs); Follow software engineering practices throughout the software development life cycle, including Agile development, coding standards, code reviews, pair-programming, and being a functional expert for the translation of business requirements into systems (5 yrs); Work in Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) utilizing tools including Selenium, Cucumber, Spring Boot, Maven, Junit, and TestNG (5 yrs). Up to 25% remote work allowed. Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite.
