“One of the biggest principle challenges we’re working to solve today is efficiently scaling Pie through technology,” Lankford said. One way in which the team is doing so is by automating high-cost manual practices like underwriting. Lankford’s engineering team has made great strides in improving developer experience in an increasingly complex workplace as Pie scales. The team recently developed a new operating system to simplify the experience of delivering our insurance products and ultimately provide a better customer experience to Pie’s small business customers.
