“At IEX, we are building technology to level the playing field,” said longtime team member Ramon Gonzalez. Founded in 2012, IEX launched a new kind of securities exchange in 2016 that combines a transparent business model with innovative design to protect investors and enhance market integrity. It is now advancing competitive markets and helping scalable, sustainable and innovative businesses thrive. “Working in this space, you get to sit at this exhilarating intersection of innovative tech and capital,” said Florian Seifferer. And it’s not just the tech that’s appealing. “The IEX culture is one of the main reasons I work here. The community and camaraderie are amazing,” said Kelsey Eng.

Innovate with fellow leaders
Passionate about the innovative power of distributed ledger technology, Florian Seifferer joined IEX as COO of Digital Assets in 2022. Seifferer and team are poised to accomplish big things, shaping the future of the digital assets market structure. His message to interested talent: “You have the opportunity to be on the forefront of shaping the future of the digital assets space, working for a company that is committed to their ethos to level the playing field.”

DRIVING YOUR CAREER

Kelsey Eng
Systems Reliability Engineer
What’s Kelsey Eng’s day-to-day like as a systems reliability engineer at IEX? “It’s exhilarating!” said Eng, who first joined as an associate SRE. “I started this job green out of college and even came in with a different skill set than desired for my role. The team took a leap of faith and I’m so glad they did,” Eng said, adding that an environment of mentorship and coaching has paid dividends for her development. Leveraging benefits like IEX’s annual learning stipend — through which Eng took night courses at NYU — has allowed her to round out essential technical knowledge.
I attribute my growth to being surrounded by great mentors and being in a great environment. IEX also has great benefits when it comes to career growth.
INNOVATION THAT SCALES
Explore new realms with passionate technologists
Having been with the company since 2013, Head of Technology Operations Ramon Gonzalez has a deep understanding of IEX’s tech ecosystem. And while the leader is proud of how the company’s technological foundation has proven its might over the years (“The fact that we were able to scale up to the point we are at today is pretty darn impressive”), Gonzalez is enthused for what’s to come. “What I am most excited about is leveraging the technology we built for the exchange and moving beyond it to entirely new areas. Watching us grow and move into new businesses is really exciting,” Gonzalez said.
