Health tech startup Feedtrail recently announced in a press release that the company raised a $1 million seed round, led by Disko Ventures and with participation from “a major nonprofit health system and a convertible promissory note.”

“For too long, healthcare delivery has been stagnant and one-sided. Feedtrail occupies a place in the market very few companies do, allowing patients to customize their experience and giving clinical professionals a way to prioritize their workflow and recalibrate based on real-time data,” said Dioko Partner Matt King, in a statement. “We look forward to partnering with Paul and his experienced management team on the next phase of growth for the company.”

Raleigh-based Feedtrail is a web- and mobile-based platform for real-time patient feedback. The tool gathers patient feedback through patient satisfaction surveys during medical visits. By enabling healthcare organizations to directly message patients and receive alerts about negative feedback, the platform empowers their staff to improve patient satisfaction rates and increase patient retention. Over 30 health systems, including Inova Health System, Schoolcraft Memorial Health and Holy Name Medical Center, have implemented Feedtrail’s technology, following a growing trend of hospitals embracing technology-powered solutions in health care.

"From the day Feedtrail was founded, it has been our mission to provide powerful insights into our customers’ patient experience and influence better health outcomes across the spectrum of care."

Feedtrail’s plans for the seed funding include building out its sales and marketing teams as well as scaling its platform. The startup has its sights set on a Series A round during the first half of 2020.

“This fundraising gives us the bandwidth to pursue new business, and it is recognition that the path we’re on is the right one. From the day Feedtrail was founded, it has been our mission to provide powerful insights into our customers’ patient experience and influence better health outcomes across the spectrum of care,” Feedtrail CEO Paul Jaglowski explained.
