Snowcookie’s smart ski technology can tell you how’s your half pipe. VentureBeat reports how the Switzerland-based company lets you track and analyze your performance on the slopes across 105 parameters including carving, style and body positions.

Now available in the U.S. and Canada, the product offers tailored advice on how to improve your skiing technique. So far, the Swiss, Japanese and the U.S. alpine racing teams have been outfitting their gear with these sensors, says the outlet. The company intends to “revolutionize the world of skiing,” according to VentureBeat.

Three small devices (cookie-sized, as you may guess) capture the motion of the body and the skis. The user wears one device on their chest while the other two are attached to the skis. The data collected by these sensors goes to an iPhone app. For ski-loving perfectionists bent on improving their runs, 3D-rendered maps are also at the ready.

“Snowcookie is for those passionate skiers who want to improve their technique faster and measure what was previously impossible to observe. With Snowcookie you can explore your skiing abilities and get better with each run.”

“Snowcookie is for those passionate skiers who want to improve their technique faster and measure what was previously impossible to observe. With Snowcookie you can explore your skiing abilities and get better with each run,” said Martin Kawalski, CEO of Snowcookie, in a press statement.

Snowcookie developed and tested the technology in the Swiss Alps, partnering with the likes of Intel and Red Bull Media House. Once limited to skiing professionals, recreational skiers can now join in on the fun with a Snowcookie set priced at $449.
