Clearwater Analytics plans to bolster its investment management capabilities with the acquisition of SaaS company Enfusion.

The companies have entered into a definitive merger agreement for Clearwater Analytics to acquire Enfusion at a purchase price equal to approximately $1.5 billion, according to a news release.

Enfusion’s front-office solutions combined with Clearwater Analytics’ middle- and back-office solutions will produce an investment management platform that offers comprehensive front-to-back capabilities. The move is expected to support Clearwater Analytics’ success with asset management clients and expansion into the hedge fund industry while also helping accelerate Enfusion’s growth.

“Most importantly, this acquisition enables seamless data management from the front office to the back office, unlocking powerful network effects that amplify client value,” Clearwater Analytics CEO Sandeep Sahai said in a statement.
