About the Role
Join our dynamic, fast-growing fintech company, revolutionizing financial services through technology. As our VP of Engineering, you will be a strategic leader responsible for shaping the vision and execution of our engineering organization. You’ll drive innovation and operational excellence across our critical systems accountable for building core platforms, which will improve internal developer velocity. Partnering with executive leadership, you will align technology initiatives with our ambitious growth strategy, ensuring our platforms remain robust, scalable, and secure.
What You’ll Do
- Define and execute a forward-thinking technical roadmap that supports our business objectives and growth plans.
- Development of architecture framework, common libraries, developer tools to improve developer velocity
- Lead, mentor, and expand multiple high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with product, operations, and other senior leaders to prioritize initiatives and deliver mission-critical solutions on schedule.
- Oversee the design and development of scalable, resilient, and secure systems, leveraging modern architectures such as microservices, API-driven, and event-driven designs.
- Champion best practices in agile development, CI/CD, automated testing, and proactive monitoring to ensure 24x7 operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
- Manage engineering budgets, resource allocation, and talent development to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving fintech landscape.
- Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies that optimize performance, reduce costs, and enhance system reliability.
What You’ll Need
- 15+ years in engineering leadership, with a proven track record of scaling large, diverse teams in fast-paced, technology-driven environments
- Demonstrated ability to set strategic direction and execute complex technology roadmaps that align with business growth and regulatory standards.
- Deep knowledge in architecting and implementing high-availability, scalable systems, including microservices, API-driven, and event-driven architectures.
- Significant experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- A solid understanding of financial services technology, particularly within brokerage platforms and compliance-driven environments.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a knack for fostering strong stakeholder relationships and cross-functional collaboration.
- A passion for solving complex problems and a relentless drive to push technological boundaries while balancing strategic vision with day-to-day execution.
Nice to Have
- Expertise in advanced architectural patterns and distributed systems.
- Experience modernizing legacy systems and driving cost optimization within capital markets or financial services.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe) for scaling agile practices across large organizations.
- Deep knowledge of brokerage operations, including clearing, settlements, and regulatory compliance.

Compensation
Compensation package offerings are based on candidate experience and technical qualifications, as it relates to the role. These are identified and determined throughout your interviewing experience.
Please note: this role is expected to come into our office on a cadence set by the Hiring Manager/Team.

$280,000—$325,000 USD
