Job Description – User Experience (UX) Designer

VP of Product Management 
Summary:
As a UX Designer at AxisCare, you will design user workflows, UI, and detailed project descriptions for priority solutions working closely with our team of product managers, developers, and QA to deliver high value to our customers, mostly home care providers. We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Creating and adhering to AxisCare style guide standards for our SaaS solutions including web application and mobile app.
  • Partner with Product Managers to understand high-value solutions planned for upcoming development cycles understanding appetite for amount of effort the company is willing to invest.
  • Conduct User Research engaging directly with internal stakeholders, customers, and users to understand pain points, workflows, and desired improvements, translating findings into actionable design strategies.
  • Drive Consistency Across Platforms ensuring a seamless user experience across both web and mobile applications by building and maintaining a comprehensive design system. Regularly update the system to align with branding, style guides, and evolving user needs while enabling consistency and efficiency across teams.
  • Providing high-quality UX designed workflows through storyboards, flow diagrams, wireframes, UI designs, and prototypes testing appropriately with internal and external customers.
  • Providing detailed project descriptions to the development team based on framed prioritized new high-value solutions for our customers. These project descriptions should provide the details needed for our development team to design a technical approach, finalize functionality approach, code, and test the solutions.
  • During a development cycle or while shaping details for an upcoming development cycle, provide answers to the development teams as needed to mitigate impediments and adjust plans as needed to accomplish the teams’ delivery goals while maximizing value to the customers.
  • Advocate for User Needs and Communicate with Stakeholders presenting research findings and design rationales to stakeholders, ensuring solutions align with user and business goals. Collaborate effectively with Product Managers, developers, QA, and internal/external customers to address challenges and confirm proposed changes to planned solutions.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Proficiency with Design Tools: Skilled in industry-standard design tools, with a strong emphasis on Figma for creating workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and collaborative design work.
  • Proficiency in designing accessible user experiences and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards such as WCAG.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a design-related field (such as, HCI, Computer Science, or a related discipline), or equivalent professional experience. 
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. 
  • Experience in or ability to leverage Product Management and Development tools such as Jira or equivalent.
  • In-depth experience with similar development processes and principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to details.
  • Creative/Innovative.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in Cross-Functional Teams: Track record of collaborating across multiple disciplines, including product, engineering, and support teams, to deliver impactful results.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks is a plus for effective collaboration with developers and creating prototypes.
  • Experience in home care or other healthcare domain.
  • Portfolio showcasing design thinking and user-centered solutions.
