Position: USASAC Analyst I
Overview: The United States Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC) oversees the Army Foreign Military Sales (FMS) initiative and serves as the Executive Agent for the Army Security Assistance Program. As a Major Subordinate Command under the U.S. Army Materiel Command, USASAC operates across multiple locations. This contract provides Programmatic Support Services for Security Assistance (SA), FMS, and international programs, supporting U.S. Army-managed weapon systems and associated equipment throughout the entire FMS Life Cycle, from Case Development to Case Closure. The successful candidate will assist USASAC by conducting research, providing recommendations, and analyzing FMS case development and execution to meet customer requirements. This role requires experience with security assistance management procedures, weapon systems, technical coordination, cost and schedule management, and risk mitigation to ensure the timely delivery of operational and supportable systems.
Responsibilities:
- Gathers data, studies the data, produces conclusions, and makes recommendations based on findings.
- Looks to find patterns within data in order to make meaningful decisions and changes based upon what they learned.
- Data, studies, and findings help to improve efficiency and informed decision making.
- May work on specific projects and help track program and team members' progress and identify new techniques to enhance efficiency.
- Analysis may involve short-term or long-term projects.
- Outputs may include a variety of formal and informal written and oral reports, documents and correspondence prepared in accordance with organizational guidance and standards.
- May require guidance and assistance from Level II and Level III Analysts to define and analyze problems, make recommendations and develop reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the functional area for which expertise is required.
- Possesses general knowledge about the organization's structure and mission.
- Possesses general experience in the discipline for which functional expertise is required.
- Associate Degree in such disciplines as Operations Research, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Business/Finance, Accounting, Economics, Human Resource Management, Strategic Studies, Foreign Policy, International Studies, Political Science, Liberal Arts, Education, Social Science or other related discipline from an accredited training institution with a curriculum or major field of study which provides substantial knowledge closely related to the task.
- Active Interim Secret Clearance or above is required at the time of hire.
