Position Summary: The Travel Manager will oversee all travel operations including planning and coordination of travel for the organization. This role is responsible for ongoing development and implementation of travel policies, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and supervising the Travel Resource Coordinator. The Travel Manager will develop and foster advantageous relationships with travel vendors in support of economical travel across the organization and will make recommendations to ensure ongoing improvements and efficiencies.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement travel policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company guidelines and industry regulations.
- Manage the day-to-day travel operations including but limited to planning and securing flights, hotels, meeting venues, rentals cars, and trains as needed.
- Collaborate with HR, Travel Acquisition Operations Management, leadership, and project management teams to understand travel requirements and deployment schedules.
- Coordinate travel itineraries and ensuring that all travel arrangements are made in a timely manner.
- Monitor travel expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Pursue new vendor relationships, services, and technologies to support development of strategic vision.
- Work closely with vendors and travel providers to negotiate favorable rates and terms to support ongoing growth and expansion.
- Coordinate last-minute travel arrangements for disaster response and recovery deployments.
- Provide travel assistance and support to leadership and employees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records providing weekly and quarterly reporting and data analysis.
- Support the travel team to complete time-sensitive projects including training events and corporate meetings.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in travel management to ensure effective and efficient operations.
- Travel as needed to meet operational needs.
- Complete annual training requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, finance, or a related field, or 7 years of relevant corporate travel and vendor management experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing travel operations.
- Experience executing travel programs of varying sizes.
- Experience using GDS and travel software.
