Job Summary
TYLin City Solutions is a leading transportation engineering, planning, and environmental group known nationally for our ability to solve complex transportation problems with creative, multi-modal solutions. Our work includes diverse, high-profile projects for both private and public sector clients. We are currently seeking a Transportation Engineer for our New York City office.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Primary Responsibilities
The selected individual will perform various traffic engineering and transportation planning tasks including:
- Conduct site visits and field observations and measurements
- Perform traffic, pedestrian, parking, safety, and transit analyses
- Reduce complex data sets for analysis purposes
- Use innovative data analytics tools and traffic analysis software
- Develop traffic signing and striping designs
- Conduct vehicle turning maneuver analyses
- Prepare high-quality graphics, data visualizations, and reports
- Collaborate with colleagues, partners, and clients on innovative projects. Attend internal and external project meetings
Qualifications and Requirements
The candidate must be organized, able to work both collaboratively and independently, manage priorities, think creatively, and meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or transportation engineering
- Experience with traffic analysis software including HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, and/or VISSIM
- Experience with performing CEQR transportation analyses preferred
- Expert user of Excel
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Adobe Illustrator
- EIT certification preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to commute to the office at least three days per week
- Authorized to work in the US
Additional Information
TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $68,000- $102,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
