Job Summary
TYLin- City Solutions is seeking an early career Traffic Engineer to join our New York City based Traffic Engineering Team.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
The selected individual will perform various traffic engineering and transportation planning tasks including:
- Conduct site visits, field observations and data collection
- Perform traffic, pedestrian, parking, safety, and transit analyses
- Use innovative data analytics tools and traffic analysis software
- Develop CAD-based design drawings of signs, markings, and signal controls
- Conduct reviews of transportation plans and drawings for operational effectiveness
- Prepare high-quality graphics, data visualizations, and reports
- Attend internal and external project meetings
Qualifications
The candidate must be organized, able to work both collaboratively and independently, manage priorities, think creatively, and meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or transportation engineering
- Expert user of Excel
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Adobe Illustrator
- Experience in traffic analysis software including HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, and/or VISSIM preferred
- EIT certification preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to commute to the office at least three days per week
- Authorized to work in the US
This position is for the TYLin- City Solutions New York City office; however, candidate would have the flexibility to work from Sam Schwartz’s Jersey City, NJ office as well.
Additional Information
TYLin- City Solutions is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $59,500 - $81,600 annually for this position and local market.
