Job Summary:

The Telecommunications Provisioning Associate Vice President will support the day-to-day billing, provisioning, and coordination of change for telecommunication circuits and systems supporting voice, data, collaboration, and network infrastructure. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual whose day-to-day work will include the ordering and coordination of new telecom circuits throughout the provisioning life cycle. This role will also entail a Telecom Expense Management component in which the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing telecom expenses, ensuring cost efficiency, and providing consistent customer service experience that exceeds expectations. As part of the provisioning of services and technologies this role will be required to work closely with telecom carriers and internal technology and business units. The position will work collaboratively with other teams to ensure circuits are budgeted and delivered both timely and accurately. The individual will understand budget forecasting as well as telecom related technologies. The individual will conduct project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons when researching new solutions. Will work with external third parties and service providers to both implement and support telecom circuits and technologies. This individual will promote and provide support involving frequent exercise of independent judgment, initiative, and diplomacy.

What You will do:

  • Implement identified strategic needs within the telecommunications arena and work with business units and larger organizations to ensure appropriate design and delivery.
  • Work closely with finance and business partners to assist in the development of requirements, business cases and cost estimates for technology and telecom circuit implementations.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through effective expense management and vendor negotiations.
  • Work with leadership and architecture teams to implement new technologies and collaborate on network initiatives and cloud platform solutions connectivity.
  • Assist in operational and strategic planning processes and provide exceptional customer service and support to internal stakeholders.
  • Provide ownership of orders for services.
  • Responsible for placing and managing orders, following as well as improving provisioning and finance processes, properly documenting.
  • Proactively meets with vendors to develop and implement best practices and ensures provisioning and billing deliverables are being met.
  • Partner with cross functional teams on strategic initiatives and improvements.
  • Manage telecom inventory as well as ensure timely payment of invoices within the Telecommunication Expense Management service.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret information to assess and define service areas, including the preparation of clear and concise documentation to support conclusions and findings.
  • Maintain technical and business knowledge of industry directions and trends.
  • Drives the adoption of (and commitment towards) improvements in service.
  • Collaborate within a team of highly skilled individuals, help drive team engage and excellence, timely execute on initiatives and deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • 6+ years of telecom circuit provisioning, implementation, and financial management.
  • Project management experience.
  • 3+ years of working with a Telecom Expense Management toolset.
  • Telecommunication network experience with an understanding of network transport technologies (MPLS, Access Mechanisms, PSTN, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills as well as problem solving, negotiation and follow-up skills; strong calendar management. Proactive and a self-starter.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate multiple activities with successful results
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of facilities management including Building construction milestones, electrical readiness, telecommunication trenching / route engineering and alarm panel telecommunication requirements
  • Experience working in an outsourced environment, the ability to drive designs and operational expectations thru contractual relationships

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience

The typical base pay range for this role is between $100K - $134K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
