Job Description:
- Work closely with customers, advising other technical experts, and making key decisions to optimize the use of CAT technologies at their mining sites. Ensure customers get the full value from our cutting-edge technologies.
- Assist in the implementation of software updates and hardware upgrades at customer operations to ensure they are always equipped with the latest advancements.
- Support the calibration and commissioning of new and existing equipment, ensuring it performs at its best.
- Identify and troubleshoot product issues, taking appropriate actions to repair and resolve issues in a cost-effective manner to minimize customer downtime.
- Create new and review existing documentation, providing expert feedback on internal and customer-created procedures. Contribute to process improvements.
- Responsible for the configuration management of Fleet, Terrain, Site Awareness, and DSS systems.
- Support customer operational, mine planning, and maintenance teams, ensuring seamless integration and smooth operations.
- Investigate and report product failure trends and serviceability issues to ensure continuous improvement.
- Provide product and process cross-training to team members, contributing to a knowledgeable and skilled team.
Qualifications:
- Good understanding of best practices for mine equipment dispatching and familiarity with major fleet management systems including MineStar, Wenco, and Modular.
- Minimum of 2 years of field experience in a technical role is preferred.
- Experience in mining operations or heavy civil construction will be an asset.
- Knowledge or experience in mine planning will be beneficial.
- GPS/GNSS Systems and Networking: Familiarity with GPS/GNSS systems and computer networking is a plus.
- Post-secondary education in fields such as Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering is considered an asset.
