About the Technical Writer role
The Technical Writer will play an integral part in helping us create a set of new guides and updates to existing content for our payments processing platform and transformation programmes.
The Technical Writer will be key to creating professional technical documentation to support customers and help our sales teams when selling products and services to new customers. We are looking for someone to share the passion and belief in the importance of technical documentation and be able to communicate this effectively throughout the business.
What you will be doing as a Technical Writer
- Researching into the requirements and details needed around the documentation for specific transformation programmes
- Producing the full range of documentation required for this project: project briefs, project plan, API documentation, new guides, updates to existing guides, technical product sheets and content for our technical documentation websites.
- Engaging with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to produce drafts and ensure drafts are reviewed,
- Reporting regularly to key stakeholders on progress of the project and any issues.
- Providing relevant information to tech doc team members on the project.
What you will bring to the Technical Writer position
- Experience in a Technical Writer/Author position
- Extensive experience in writing clear and easy to read content
- Strong understanding and experience of using Madcap Flare
- An interest and commitment to your career as a technical communicator
- Knowledge and experience of producing API documentation for Developer’s
- Visio experience would be desirable to produce flowcharts, diagrams, product sheets and other types of interactive content
- Financial services and card payment experience (in particular of Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Diners networks) a strong plus
- A degree in Technical Communication, English Literature or Computer Science would be preferable
- The ability to work independently with a can-do approach
- Strong problem solving skills
