We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Consultant to support the implementation of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and intralogistics automation solutions within industrial and warehouse environments. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical and business stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration of automation technologies.
This role requires a strong technical foundation in shopfloor layout design, software integration (Java/C++), and intralogistics systems. Additionally, the candidate must have excellent communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences, providing valuable insights and ensuring smooth project execution.
In this role, you will
- This role encompasses four key responsibilities: consulting and advising clients, technical implementation, project execution and collaboration, and stakeholder communication.
- Work closely with clients in manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics to understand their automation needs.
- Provide technical insights on AGVs, intralogistics, and industrial automation.
- Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients optimize their warehouse and factory operations.
- Design shopfloor layouts for AGV deployment and material flow optimization.
- Develop and implement connectors between automation systems and existing infrastructure using Java or C++.
- Support the integration of AGVs, robotics, and warehouse management systems (WMS/MES/ERP).
- Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and IT, to ensure successful automation implementation.
- Provide technical training and support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing system performance.
- Translate technical details into business insights for non-technical audiences.
- Conduct presentations, workshops, and demos for stakeholders.
- Document system configurations, workflows, and best practices.

What will you bring
- The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise in automation and system integration, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and relevant experience with AGVs, industrial software, or shopfloor optimization.
- Experience in industrial automation, intralogistics, or AGV solutions.
- Strong Java or C++ programming skills for connector development and system integration.
- Ability to design and optimize shopfloor layouts for automation implementation.
- Familiarity with WMS, MES, ERP, or SCADA systems is a plus.
- Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced industrial environments.
- Prior experience with AGV fleet management software or IoT-based industrial automation.
- Knowledge of PLC programming or industrial networking.
- Experience with CAD or other shopfloor planning tools.
