The Tax Sr. Analyst is responsible for analyzing and providing commentary and solutions on different taxation issues, must have knowledge of tax compliance and solid experience in indirect taxes and direct taxes, as well as ensure the correct preparation of statistical and documentary information for tax-financial purposes, review and interpret tax regulations and legislation, recommend specific courses of action, and how to minimize tax liability.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the team of external consultants for the correct tax compliance of direct and indirect taxes on a monthly and annual basis.
- Guarantee the correct accountant record of tax withholdings in the "Tax Approver" role for payments through EPAY system.
- Support to the business in order to guarantee the correct record of the taxes that generate the operating income & expenses and the tax withholdings that are required.
- Support to the GBS team in the VAT computation and analysis.
- Guarantee the VAT refund requests as well as document them.
- Support in tax requirements of the tax authorities in relation to audits, VAT refunds, third party information, as well as corporate and financial audits.
- Support in the coordination of the information for the Dictamen Fiscal
- Actively participate in implementation projects for changes in tax reforms.
- Support the team with the creation of electronic invoicing (CFDI's) regarding payment complements.
- Help in the review of the monthly payments and its presentation and payment
- Reconciliation of tax accounts.
- Support in the coordination with the different internal areas of the company for the information for annual tax return and informative returns.
- Submit the informative return of the destruction of inventories whenever it would be required.
- Assure the quarterly tax accounts reconciliation in the internal system.
- CFDI Cancellation requests.
- Support other business areas with tax requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Good understanding of tax concepts
- Strong accounting and tax accounting experience highly preferred
- Strong numerical analysis and data interpretation
- Minimum experience of 2 to 5 years in the role of tax analyst or similar.
- Ability to analyze numerical information and its interpretation for tax purposes
- Proactivity
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Experience preferably in the pharmaceutical industry and / or transnational company.
- Expertise with excel, word, power point
- Knowledge of SAP
- Fluent English
