Job Description
What Does a SVP, Strategic Planning Do?
The SVP, Strategic Planning will own the process to arrive at informed, actionable insights about brand, customer, category, and competition (current and pipeline) that will fuel strategic recommendations for both AOR and DAOR work. The SVP will lead the charge projecting confidence and conviction, inspiring and mentoring their team to strategic brilliance. This also role requires excellent cross-functional collaboration, becoming an invaluable partner to Account, Creative, Project Management, and our deep bench of subject matter experts in areas such as Analytics, Content Strategy, Customer Experience, Media, Medical, Social Media, and more. At EVERSANA Intouch, our approach to Strategic Planning is proven and comprehensive, yet scalable based on client needs, encompassing brand strategy, omnichannel and execution. Our SVP, Strategic Planning will help continue to shape our methodologies, the Strategic Planning department and cast teams that meet our client unique needs, and our own company need to remain competitive bringing the heart of traditional planning to everything we do.

Qualifications
What Are We Looking For?
- 15 years (or more) of Strategic Planning experience in healthcare marketing for the pharmaceutical industry in AOR and DAOR, for HCP and DTC (TV experience required); US experience is a must and global experience would be a plus
- Seasoned leader not too far divorced from being the all-star player—you’ve had a stint at the helm of the department or managing a large account with a sizeable team
- Brand strategy expert (focused on building and maintaining the identity, positioning, and perception of a specific drug or product) and business strategy expert (focused on the broader plan for a product’s success within the market to maximize long-term value, reach the right markets and segments, and stay competitive). Requires a deep understanding of both healthcare trends and the commercial realities of the pharmaceutical sector.
- Consensus builder with the vision to create roadmaps that guide execution of all planning-based programs
- Deep appreciation of omnichannel, and the digital space; practical activation experience required
- Experience integrating targeted messaging of large, multi-indication drugs, across personal and NPP channels
- Understanding that planning is not an abstraction, bringing proven techniques to influence the process and be at the heart of the work
- Master storyteller with a compelling communication style that attracts others
- Educate, counsel, and inspire planning team members, as well as clients and agency, on emerging trends
- Experience pitching and winning new business opportunities; must be able to lead the strategy of a pitch in partnership with Business Development and cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Advertising is ideal; agency experience a must

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated salary range for this position is $196,000 - $269,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
