Supplier Quality Engineer
Hitachi Energy offers a complete range of power and distribution transformers designed to grant the reliability, durability, and efficiency required in utility, industrial, and commercial applications. Our company is a major transformer manufacturer throughout the world and offers both liquid-filled and dry-type transformers as well as services for complete life-cycle support, including replacement parts and components. Our portfolio allows utilities and industrials to maximize the return on transformer assets by ensuring a high reliability, reducing life cycle costs and ensuring optimized performance while lowering environmental impact.
We are now looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer at Hitachi Energy, Transformers business in Vaasa.
How you’ll make an impact
- Developing, coaching, and managing suppliers according to organization quality standards and policies.
- Providing advice and training on quality protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and applicable government standards.
- Monitoring and managing supplier performance and quality related metrics. Supporting different stakeholders with supplier related topics.
- Resolving supplier problems related to quality and performance.
- Working effectively together with global and regional supplier quality organizations.
Your background
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering
- Strong technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience in APQP, PPAP and Quality Management
- Familiarity with problem solving tools such as 8D methodology
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma
- Initiative and an independent approach to work
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Good written and spoken communication skills in Finnish and English
- Experience in modern ERP systems
