Your Role
Our team in Boston is growing and we are looking for a talented new team member who possess outstanding analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Specifically, we are currently seeking a Junior Strategist. You will tap into your boundless analytical and strategic knowledge to work on unique professional environments, providing consultation support for completion and execution of change management projects.
What You Will Do
- Develop processes and methodologies with which to understand and analyze both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of space planning, occupancy and workplace performance for a variety of client organizations
- Translate findings into client-specific strategies that address strategic business goals, specifically in the areas of real estate and facilities, workplace, and organizational development
- Lead teams in the successful implementation of complex research and strategy projects
- Manage Face-to-Face facilitation workshops, staff surveys and conducting research from multiple stakeholders. Presenting the findings to clients and leadership change champions
- Lead client meetings and facilitate small to large group meetings
- Develop written and graphic presentations of data and findings for clients
- Actively participate in business development and client relationship development
- Oversee the information design of data and findings for client reports
Your Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, quick learner and have an entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to work on multiple topics/problems simultaneously. Comfort in synthesizing complex information into simple, easy to understand slides and ability to communicate to local leadership/stakeholder is a must. A self-motivated team player with a positive, communicative and collaborative approach, you will work in partnership with colleagues across Gensler and client’s offices across the globe, leading conversations with stakeholders at all levels. You will have the knowledge and ability to provide guidance to both Gensler and client’s team, advising, mentoring and supporting where necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in design-related field (i.e. interior design, architecture), strategy, organizational psychology or similar.
- Proven experience in change management, strategic workplace and/or business planning, within a creative environment
- Design strategy services experience including: space planning, real estate scenario planning, branding, space standards, architectural programming, user research, site and lease evaluation, growth projections, test fit analysis, and industry benchmarking
- A proven track record innovating at a high level: drawing insights from users and cultural trends, creating generative frameworks, expressing compelling solutions and communicating at a level to inform executive decision-making
- An acute understanding of the value of design to build businesses and transform organizations
- Proven skills in information and presentation design
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Excellent project management skills, with experience leading small teams
- Outstanding verbal, written and graphic communication skills
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, In Design and Access
