The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector has a career opportunity for a Strategic Operations Manager to support the Air Force National Capital Region (AFNCR) Information Technology Services program at Joint Base Andrews, MD.
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will assist the Government staff by engaging a broad range of strategic senior Air Force leaders to build a transition roadmap and coordinate solutions for critical process and system challenges. Additionally, the Strategic Operations Manager will aid Government staff by leading, maintaining, and improving the AFNCR ITS Catalog and provide continuous process improvement analysis in support of those services.

Primary Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the Solutions Management, Problem Management, Service Management, Customer Relations, and User Experience teams.

Assist Director of Operations with oversight and execution of the AFIN engagement and MAJCOM Coordination Center missions.

Represent AFDW in Enterprise strategic initiative meetings and forums, advocating for AFNCR requirements and priorities while building a local roadmap.

Develop and review strategic communications impacting new, changing, or degraded services.

Build trend analysis products and develop plans and projects to address systemic service challenges across all operational areas: process / workflows, system uptime / resiliency, command and control, etc.

Guide root cause analysis and solution determination for major incident responses as follow-up actions to the initial mitigation from the Cyber Support Center.

Lead Enterprise initiative transitions into the AFNCR, coordinating with higher-level organizations such as the Cyberspace Capabilities Center, Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, and Chief Information Office.

Lead special projects aim at enhancing or improving service delivery and customer experience.

Lead a contract team, augmenting the Government staff, in building and updating the AFNCR ITS Catalog.

Direct the continuous process improvement program to ensure the underlying processes for service execution, fulfillment, and delivery are operating effectively and efficiently.

Direct Mission Stakeholder outreach program, collecting senior leader perspectives on service quality and gaps to ensure catalog items provide desired affects and baseline offerings are sufficient for business operations.

Oversee development and sustainment of the AFNCR customer-facing, electronic Service Catalog.

Assist senior stakeholders in developing business analytics reports and senior leader briefs on AFNCR ITS mission execution.
Basic Qualifications:
-
A Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience; or a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience, additional years of experience may be used in lieu of degree.

Possess a current, DoD Secret clearance.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
-
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations certification.

DoD 8570-compliant IAT L3 certification (e.g., CISSP)
-
Requires a minimum of twelve years of experience supervising and managing IT professionals within a DoD environment.

Prior experience working with Air Force Enterprise IT organizations (688 CW, AMAC, HQ CCC, AFLCMC, etc)
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Prior experience working in the National Capital Region and familiarity with the Headquarters Air Force staff organization.

Prior experience working in and building briefs for an Air Force staff organization or Commander’s Action Group (CAG).

Continuous Process Improvement certification or executive course.

Pay Range:Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
