Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Drive design reviews, define interfaces between code modules, and apply existing technology to designs. Provide technical leadership and define, develop, and evolve software in a fast-paced and agile development environment, using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure. Provide guidance to developers during the planning and execution of design architecture, using agile methodologies such as SCRUM. Develop GE HealthCare CICD pipelines using best practices. Build highly scalable and available distributed systems. Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior software engineers throughout GE HealthCare.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related. Six (6) years of experience in large scale web solutions developing large scale cloud-based applications and platform solutions with focus on CICD and release management. Work experience to include: Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent; Maven, Gradle, NPM and python builds; Kubernetes Architecture and Deployments; Developing CICD pipelines using Bash, Groovy, Python, Ansible, or equivalent programming language; Web services (such as REST, SOAP, or WSDL), using Apache Commons Suite & Maven, and SQL Database (such as Oracle MySQL or PostgreSQL); Experience with public cloud infrastructures (such as Amazon or Azure); and Hands-on experience with AWS services, developing lambdas, and cloud deployments.
