Reporting to the Database Operations Manager, the Staff Database Administrator is a full-time position located in the Lytx Center of Excellence in Bangalore, India. The candidate should have 10+ years of database administration experience in a production environment. This person will have a strong knowledge of database administration duties, including but not limited to installation, configuration, performance tuning and optimization, database maintenance, troubleshooting, business continuity and disaster recovery. Additionally, this position will play a key role in facilitating database design for applications in a highly transactional environment. Experience in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, etc) is desired, as migrating systems from on-premises to the cloud will also be a key job deliverable.You’ll Get To:
- Database deployments, validation, rollbacks
- Database maintenance tasks
- Backup / recovery / validation testing and verification
- Performance tuning
- Primarily support Dev teams in Bangalore, provide senior-level advice on database issues
What You’ll Need:
- 10 years as a Production Database Administrator
- Production experience with: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, SQLServer are preferred
- Experience implementing database maintenance and security best practices
- Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with cloud-centric technologies desired (Aurora Postgres, RDS, SQL Server on Azure, RedShift)
- Thorough understanding of database security best practices
- Strong organization and communication skills
